Golden Books

Golden book

My mom recently brought up some Golden books that I had as a little girl. My sisters and I used to read these books over and over. Ella and I have been enjoying them for the past few months. It is funny to see how some were 50 cents and others were 69 cents. One of the books was titled 10 items or less. I remember this book, because I remember buying it. There used to be a section of Golden books in our Winn-Dixie. I would always grab one and read it while my mom shopped. We didn't have a ton of money back when I was growing up, but my mom always would spend money on books because she knew reading was important. Every time I pick up a Golden book to read to Ella, I am reminded of my childhood. I found a Golden book at Target and put it in Ella's stocking. I paid 3.99. (quite the price jump, I would say) My new thing is to find Golden books in good condition at thrift stores. I am on the hunt.
