This summer I got together with 3 friends from highschool and went to the beach. I love talks on the phone, random lunch visits, or a day visit, but having a weekend with them is always fun. We all met up in Albany, GA at shealy's house. I got to see the house that Shealy bought. It is so cute. We loaded up in Melissa's SUV and to the beach we went. Once we got in the car and were heading to the beach, I told everyone to give me their excited face.
Jessica--She is definitely ready
Melissa looks quite pumped!!
Shealy--We couldn't decide if Shealy was scared or excited. Haha
We made it to the beach Thursday night. We woke up the next morning to Melissa's great breakfast. It was so nice sitting on the porch and eating hearing the waves crash in the background. We headed down to the beach for a few hours before we went and canoed down the Wakulla river.
Canoeing down the Wakulla was such an experience. I hate that I didn't have my camera on the canoe. Melissa and I shared a canoe and Jessica and Shealy shared. Shealy and Jessica definitely wanted a work-out while Melissa and I went for the more scenic route. We met people all along the river and saw many animals. We even got to pet several manatees. My favorite part was jumping off this 25 feet dock. That night Shealy cooked Red snapper and pasta for us. The best fish I have ever had. She prepared it very well and I have bought more fresh snapper and made the same meal twice since we have returned home. The next day we got to go see David, Mrs. Debbie and Mr. David. It was good seeing them and visiting with David.
That night we ate at Posey's (a seafood place). That night we set out on the porch and listened to the waves and talked.
I had so much fun staying up late, spending time with each one of them and enjoying creation.
Look forward to the next time where we are all together.
