Placemat garden flag
Find a placemat. Any placemat will work. I found this one at the Dollar Tree. (They also have hot pink and aqua polka dotted ones as well.) Fold down the top of the garden flag. Using a straight stitch, sew all the way across top of the flag. This will create the loop for you to slide the garden flag on your stand.
Next, Cut your initial out of the desired fabric.
Follow directions of Heat n Bond lite- You want to iron on adhesive to your fabric. Once you follow those directions-Iron the fabric onto the garden flag.
I used the sewable Heat n Bond. You can also use non sewable. I just wanted the stitched look.
Here is the finished product. I gave it to my mother in law for her birthday.
