I haven't stopped the challenge I promise!

I know.....what happened to this girl!!! She did two days and quit on her challenge. I haven't stopped sewing. I even have projects to post. I have had a lot going on this week. My aunt died on Sunday. She was 50 years old and had ovarian cancer. She battled with it for 18 months. She was a woman of faith and saw the good in any situation. I found that very admirable. She has 3 precious children, a wonderful husband, and a bubbly grand daughter. She will be missed.
We sang Blessed be your name in church this morning and I began to think about how she had been with Jesus for a week now. (Then I thought about concept of time totally goes out the window when you think about eternity.) We go through so many struggles and hardships where the challenge is to still say...Blessed be your name. We go through happy times and can easily say Blessed be your name. I also got to meet my nephew this week. It was an amazing moment for our family. I heard blessing a lot: facebook status, texts, conversation etc. In this circumstance it was easy to say those words. Everyone is thankful and excited about the new life. It is much harder though when dealing with hardship. My aunt lisa didn't have a problem with this. So many stories were shared throughout the course of the week and it left me thinking about that word....Blessing. She was a blessing to be around, positive, and always had something encouraging to say. She had the "Blessed by your name" mentality. No matter what was thrown at her....she lived those words out. I was blessed by knowing her.

Another Blessing entered the world on July 13. He weighed 8 lbs and 10 oz. He is so handsome. I love Ross Cameron Walker. So thankful for this new addition.

Death and Life have been all around me this week. I keep hearing the words in my heart....Blessed be your name.
When life gets tough...Blessed be your name!
When you fail...Blessed be your name!
When you lose someone you love...Blessed be your name!
When a new life is born....Blessed be your name!
Blessed be your name! Blessed be your name!
